About the Project

Phase one of Project "Boys Scout" is to include a spring over axle conversion on full width GM axles , a full interior cage , a bed bar to tie into the cage when the top is off and a pre runner style inbed tire carrier. Along with these item , a couple other issue will have to be addressed , such as a fuel cell will need to be mounted in place of the 50 year old gas tanks that are begining to rust out. We are also combining the rear bumper into phase one of this project. So far , we have the axles under the Scout , the bed Bar is almost complete , the rear bumper base has been built , and we slid a set of 37" rollers on it just to check out what it looks like!! Hopefully by Christmas we will be well into phase 2 of this build , which will include a SBC 350 , TH350 trans , and a 205 t-case install !! HOHOHO !!!
